Crushing force is a fat fur fighting that I've been working on for a few years. Get ready to Crush your opponents with Force! Featuring all kinds of body shapes and fighting styles! Featuring 30 Characters of mine and many guests!
The game features an arcade mode and a final boss, And it's fully playable on Local Multiplayer or vs CPU.
The game is currently not\ finished and will keep getting updates and additions, such as new characters and original stages and assets.

Really like the game though the current build seems to have a bug. Montana's EX tackle seems to not actually cost any meter. You need at least half a bar to use it but it just doesn't spend any meter currently.
I'm having trouble getting this game to run on Linux, are there any special settings I should have enabled while using Wine/Bottles to emulate the .exe?

hello, I just wanted to mention this and I didn't know if anyone else was having this issue but awhile ago I uninstalled this game after playing it for a bit and I recently wanted to play it again but I did notice when I tried to re install it through the itch.io app I got a message saying no compatible downloads were found and it sounded like it had something to do with the developer hasn't tagged there files with your specific operating system or something but worst case scenario i'll just have to manually re download it if need be.
A bit of critique:
The Practice Mode AI blocks everything, no matter the Training Settings, so it's kinda tricky getting a good look at the offensive effects of your Character's Moves
The Practice Mode has no Team Options; for the Dummy Opponent, no Simul, Tag, Turns, etc, only the lone Training Dummy. Team Options for the Practice Dummy would help train the player against multiple Opponents
There's a Taunt Control, that doesn't seem to function, for some Characters

Just got Crushing Force working on Steam Deck...
And I'm gonna say... THIS IS SERIOUSLY GOOD
I've been around, since the 1980's, I've played just about every fighting game you can think of, 2D, 3D, platform brawlers...
But Crushing Force? This is without a doubt, not only one of the best looking & sounding fighting games, but arguably, the best controls and gameplay, I've ever used
The graphics easily remind me of Street Fighter & King of Fighters, especially the 16 bit style backgrounds, which seem hand drawn & painted, with rich detail, while the character sprites have a more 32 bit rendering, without pixelation, giving them a Guilty Gear & Blaz Blue like rendering
The music is also fitting for a fighting game, the Hologram Room song, reminds me of the John Wick film techno music
The gameplay; with its double jumps & 4 Button Normal Moves, that easily chain together in a "Gatling Combo," strongly reminds me of the gameplay in Guilty Gear & Blaz Blue, with a mix of Street Fighter & King of Fighters
The Simul, Tag & Turns Modes are insane, more than 2 Fighters imon Screen at once!? The only other Fighting Game I've seen do THAT, is Guilty Gear Isuka, on Playstation 2! This gives the game a party game mechanic, that's sure to be manic fun!
The action, the fighting, practically feels like choreographed fight scenes in films
The Normal Moves Combo fluidly, and the Special Move Inputs, seem to work EVERY TIME, as they say "Ha-Doken-able!" The Fire Ball Motion Inputs never seem to fail when entered, which is where countless fighting games are hit are miss, in most fighting games, the Special Moves work "when they feel like it..." something that plagues traditional fighting games, particularly 2D style
But Crushing Force? The Moves all simply just work, especially the Super Specials... which only require Pressing 2 or 3 Buttons and a simple Fire Ball Motion to launch, very responsive & intuitive... the Dash, Back Hop & High Jump is also snappy & responsive
I feel like I've learned the fighting mechanics in mere minutes
For example: I got all of Lardo Rat's Moves down pat, in Training Mode, in next to no time at all! I already feel like I've mastered this character!
Speaking of, Lardo Rat looked like main char material at 1st glance - he gives me Big Blag vibes, (the BIG freakin' rat boss in Battle Toads, the NES version is arguably the smartest boss AI in a retro game, I've ever fought, and his Battle Toads Arcade version never seems to die, after he eats about 50 ~ 100 Credits, gotta love the Free Play / Insert Credit Key in Rare Replay & MAME ROMs!)
Maybe it's Lardo's design & attitude, but his Big Blag style design & Moves Set make him an instant favorite already, though I'll try rest of the roster, to see who gels
Anyway, this is one seriously polished gem of a game! I hope to see more!
This game works on Steam Deck!
It'll also Run in Steam Deck Game Mode (not the Desk Top Mode!)
After Downloading it to Steam Deck Desk Top Mode; check the Downloads Folder, pick a place to Extract the Installed Files to
Next, drag the Crushing Force .exe File (logo: blue circle, white border & i) to the Desk Top, Left Click " Link Here," the Desktop Shortcut Icon should have a chainlink icon on it
Next, Right Click the Crushing Force Shortcut Icon, Left Click: "Add to Steam Library"
Open Steam Library; Search "Crushing Force," it should now be in your Steam Library, select it, press "Play"
If it has a Compatibility Issue; try this: in Game Properties (look for the "Gear Icon" ,⚙️, in the Steam Deck Library Launch Window) use "Force Compatibility," select ProtonUp-Qt (which you can find online, or in the Steam Deck Desk Top Mode "Discover App"
Also, in Properties, in Launch Options, Type: PROTON_SET_GAME_DRIVE=1 %command%
This usually gets a stubborn game working on Steam Deck
If this is confusing; check out some You Tube Videos, on making Games Run on Steam Deck, that have Compatibility Issues
You can also alter the Controls; via the Controller Icon 🎮, also in the Steam Deck Library Launch Window

i love the game and try to play it again after a long time not playing, My question is to ask if i need to unlock Sariji or is there any hind that i am missing
Well, Sarjiri isn't meant to be played as since's a boss character. So she isn't unlocked or anything like that. You can tweak some files to just make her playable but she doesn't really provide a challenge to play as her.
I didn’t want to complain about this game, because I love it. BUT THIS SERIOUSLY NEEDS TO BE SAID!!! What the actual F#@& is wrong with Trinity’s and Gage’s AI in arcade mode! They fight so monstrously aggressive, even when you play the game at level 2. They’re even more aggressive than Jumbo and Jumba, and they’re the semi-final bosses. Is this some sort of technical issue, or was this done on purpose?
I'll look into it, but what did they do to make them so difficult?
Like I said, they both seem to behave more aggressively in arcade mode than any of the other characters. Kind of like the AI thinks these two characters are Ra or something. Trinity’s basic attacks seem to respond faster than normal and spams certain specials a lot, especially that butt tackle of his (which he also boosts every time). As for Gage, it the same problem with Trinity, regarding basic attacks. However, he combos a lot more and tries more to corner you.
Ra's AI never calms down but that shouldn't be an issue since he doesn't show up in arcade runs. Gage and trinity should be doable though.
I really hope this game goes on steam! I want to display it on profile proudly!
could you touch up on Montana's finishers on new characters as they have no sprites and are a bit disappointing for the characters that don't. I'd also maybe say fix up on her ai as even ai 8 can't do any combos and resorts to either spam flying in corner or using the kiss move over and over.
Hey, I was wondering when we'll be seeing more modded versions of these characters. The only one I've seen is that gassy version of Jumbo, but that's it. Is everyone just waiting until the game is done or is it something else?
That was a one-and-done. Jumbo was modded by LuistheYamper and since they worked so hard on it, I just put it in. But definitely don't want to happen on a whole roster scale.
Occasionally when playing i get a pop up that says invalid and the combo does significantly less damage. Is there a reason for that and how can i disable that?

it is with a Mugen character that i added, Jubei from Blazblue. I tested it more over the weekend and it seems to be related to his ability to juggle or hit them right after they hit the ground but before they can get up.
I know that makes it difficult as it is outside what the game is built for.
Will there be a mobile version?
Not from me. If you know anything on mobile that can do emulation for .exe. If there is, then it should be fine.

i want an unironic one handed mode, not because i goon ton this (which i do) but cuz if cartoon network can fit 2 control schemes onto a single keyboard for 2 players to co-op on a single keyboard, kaze has GOT this!

There is only 1 boss. So I see how boss rush wouldn't work. But you can support by sharing media of the game on social media, shareing the link to this itch page, or joining my patreon.

Will other characters have level 5 ultimate attacks or are they exclusive to Tom and GL?
I really don't wanna make those common so they probably will be rare. GL and Tom have level 3's that heal and do low damage. So the level 5's make players choose which one to use.

I downloaded the game and using an emulator I can play it on my MacBook, but I dont understand how to use the controls on my macbook. Can someone tell me how to understand the controls on a macbook.
Well, I'm glad it's working on Mac. By default, keyboard controls are IJKL for movement and ERTDFG for attacks. You can change buttons on the pause menu or in options on the main menu.
You may want to use a controller, and if you do, the buttons should be set similar to an Xbox pad. I hope that helps.
What emulator are you using? I've been trying to play it with both Whisky and Crossover, but it wouldn't work.
I recently downloaded the game, but have run into an issue on startup where none of the visuals are displayed. All sounds and inputs seem to be working normally but no visuals are displayed at all. Eager to give it a shot!

Just tested this and I'm getting the same problem having just downloaded the nightly ikemenGO, no visuals on start up at all Seems like a me/my setup problem, but not sure how to further troubleshoot

Naw, Ikemen lets me do that, but I guess at this point all additional characters are downloadable content instead.

You can edit the data/CFhud/select.def FILE to make her playable. But the reason I didn't make her playable is that it wouldn't be fair in player vs player. But you have the files, so you could enable her if you wanted. However, I don't recommend it.

Probably not, Unless Ikemen adds it or so. I would need my own engine for stuff like that.

By joining the game's patreon Early Access test you can get access to the WIP characters (Slim, Kimiko, Terra, Girda, Etc.)

Yes, via Proton. if your on a steam deck check under properties -> Compatibility. Check the box that says "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool"

The intro doesn't have sound and Jumbo in pink is the default first pallet.

If you don't press Light punch then yes. Every button is a different pallet.
